Aimbry Chester is an elegant pink papered son of the BWBS Graded stallion, Wadacre Chicko, and his bloodlines include Ramiro Z, Ladykiller, Galanthus and Rastell – who was a top level graded jumping stallion in Sweden.  He is a breathtakingly beautiful pony with tremendous paces and an exquisite head.  He is short coupled with natural elevation and cadence.  He has an outstanding temperament which he consistently passes onto his youngstock.

Aimbry Chester gives an overall picture of incredible elegance with the ability to produce his own stamp over and over again. He has a predominantly bay gene and has never thrown chestnut. He has a classic technique over a big fence and was ranked 5th in the summer 2000 young dressage sire BHBD rankings.

In his competition career, Aimbry Chester specialised in Dressage and was graded medium by British Dressage.  Chester won 12 times at this level, amassing over 245 Dressage points. In September 2002, he came 7th in the medium final at the National Dressage Championships. In 2003, he competed with Holly Doyle at the Addington and Sheepgate under 21’s championships. He was working at advanced level when his stud career took precedence.

His full brother Aimbry Cabana achieved approved status at the AES grading, won young rider gold medals in Ireland, was Elementary National Dressage Champion 1997 and Homebase Dressage Champion 1998. During his own career, Chester qualified for the four year old Potential International Dressage Horse final at the National Championships and, while competing, consistently qualified for the winter and summer semi-finals from novice to medium. He was ranked 5th Summer 2000 and 3rd Winter 2001 Young Dressage Sire Rankings with The British Horse Database.

Chester is ‘The Face’ of Baileys Horse Feeds and can be seen on many of their advertising merchandise. In 2009, he achieved nationwide exposure as his portrait now features on the new Baileys Horse Feeds delivery lorries. He also continues to star alongside other End House Stallions in many of Baileys advertising and packaging. He also modelled for Matchmakers advertising Masta and Caldene Rugs and featured in their 2010 Spring/Summer catalogue.

He was also selected as a member of the Supporters Of British Breeding Dressage Quadrille at the Young Riders European Championships opening ceremony held at Hartpury College.

Chester shows a huge careful jump over coloured poles, is completely at home across country has hacked out in the heaviest of traffic in the company of mares and other stallions. The only time he was shown in hand as a youngster he qualified for the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead but due to stud commitments was unable to attend the Championships.

In summer 2008, after several years away from competition (due to his busy stud commitments), he returned triumphant from the Northern Horse show winning the Riding Horse Stallion class, qualifying for both the BSHA National Championships and the NPS Ottergayle Supreme In Hand Riding Horse Championship.  At fifteen years of age, this is surely a testament to his soundness, temperament and breeding.

Offspring/Breeding Advice

He is a lifetime graded Sports Pony Studbook Society Stallion and in 2008 he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the SPSS for his regular achievement of being the most utilised SPSS stallion.  This was the first time that the SPSS has recognised a stallion in this way.

The combination of Danish Warmblood, Holstein and Thoroughbred lines gives Chester quality, presence and athleticism. He is producing quality stock with fantastic paces from a wide range of mares (from 12hh riding ponies to 17hh warm bloods) consistently injecting quality, superb temperament and that ‘look at me’ element.  He has consistently produced BEF Futurity Evaluation First Premium youngstock. His stock are easily trainable with kind temperaments and his progeny includes Champion foals and youngstock, dressage ponies and children's competition ponies.  To breed top class competition/show horses is one thing but the ability to produce sensible and trainable ponies which can easily be handled and competed by children must be a real testament to this stallion's lovely nature.
