Cherokee Chief's sire, Fleetwater Olympus, is a Trakehner and his dam was Anglo Arab, so he is 25% Arab.  Before being injured he competed at Pre-Novice and Novice eventing and won money as a Grade C showjumper.  His son Olympus Hale Bop stands at stud as well as competing at Affiliated Medium dressage.

Sire: 

By the Group 1 Warmblood stallion Fleetwater Olympus (Trakehner) whose own sire, Hasardeur, descends from the great stallion dynasty created by Impuls and the legendary mare Schwarze Schwalbe. Olympus’s dam, Opushka, an Elite Russian Trakehner, was also the dam of 2 licensed stallions, an international show jumper, an international eventer, advanced eventer and advanced dressage horse. She was grand dam of another licensed stallion and the top international eventer Summer Song as well as closely related to the Olympic show jumping stallion Almox Printo J and the Olympic dressage horse Pepel. Her female family produced the top stallions Consul, Coulear, Fiirst, Caanits and Cornus.

Dam: 

The Lass of Kerriemuir was a top class Anglo-Arab show mare who had many wins and championships to her credit including being Norwegian National champion.

Damsire: 

The legendary stallion Scindian Magic, a prolific sire of top eventers / competition horses.

Cherokee Chief is a successful all discipline competition horse. He won Pembrey Horse Trials in 1998 & 2000, was highest placed dressage overall at his 1st pre-novice and won his 2nd. He has Show jumping winnings of £109 in just a few outings and is working at Medium dressage. He is a glamorous horse with a generous temperament.

His progeny include Olympus Hale Bop, an AHS Grade A Premium and NaStA Performance Grade 1 Elite stallion who has won at Medium dressage. At his SPSS Grading, the judges considered Chief to be a ‘good sire of event ponies’ and this is proven by his daughter, Flimstone Fantasy, who is a successful Pony Club and event pony, winning at BE90/100, a BE100 Regional Finalist in 2009, competing at the 2006 National Pony Championship and FEI Pony Team Trials as well as many Pony Club and Working Hunter Pony wins.

Progeny:

Olympus Chivago - won working hunters; placed County level in 4yr old working hunter classes; qualified for Cherif Championships; competing British Dressage; BSJA winning of £38 in only a few outings.
