Owner breeders Sue and Mike Clarke were beaming with pride and pleasure in October 2009 as they watched their 2 ½ year old colt, Dowland K.O. Bo Diddley, become the only pure Trakehner Graded Pony Stallion in the world.

Bo Diddley was presented at the annual Sports Pony Studbook Society Grading by Tim and Bernadette of Woodcroft Trakehners and not only graded but was also awarded Reserve Champion.

Bo Diddley scored a nine for his canter, which was described by the judges Lynne Crowden and Geoff Glazzard as “Athletic, with good cadence and engagement of hindquarters”.  Other judges comments were: “Showing natural freedom and a lot of scope in his loose jumping”, and “An improver type with good elasticity”.

He is by the dressage horse Holme Park Kalibre, out of the Trakehner BWBS graded Pony Mare Holme Grove Cezanne.

He carries some of the best dressage blood lines, and it is thought likely that he will be a good sire of both show and competition ponies. He will be aimed for the dressage arena in 2011.
