This spectacular athletic 4 year old stallion combines top class bloodlines with great paces, impressive jumping ability and ideal modern riding type. He was carefully chosen to add athleticism, outstanding temperament and rideability to all kind of mares and as proof of this he achieved a remarkable 18/20 for temperament and marks of 8, 8.5 and 8 for his paces at his Sports Pony Studbook Society grading when he became the youngest ever native breed pony stallion to be graded by the SPSS.

His dilute gene also provides an exciting possibility of producing the eye-catching palomino, dun or cremello foals that are becoming increasingly popular in the sports pony world and especially in dressage.  Many of his close relatives have been exported to Sweden, France, The Netherlands and the USA as foundation breeding stock as the Fourwinds Stud is known internationally for combining great riding qualities with super quality and type
Fourwinds Gethin’s breeding combines the best of Welsh Section C breeding with a proven ability to produce top class performance ponies. Not only is he closely related to the winners of over 40 individual championships at The Royal Welsh Show in the past 30 years, but his pedigree also includes such outstanding names as Synod William, sire of Synod Magnus the British Breeding / Ponies UK top British-bred dressage pony of 2007, Lyn Cwmcoed who features in the pedigree of Sakama Chezin, the British Breeding / Ponies UK top British-bred showjumping pony of 2006, Leyeswick Flyer, a proven source of outstanding movement in many Sections Cs, Ds and part-breds and Menai Fury, one of the most outstanding pony sires of the twentieth century. 

He is also almost completely free of Derwen and Brenin bloodlines so he is an excellent outcross for mares from these lines.  Fourwinds Gethin is standing at Trevoulter Barton Stud in Cornwall with generous concessions to graded and winning mares and is also available nationwide by chilled and fresh transported semen.
