Sire: K.B. Etoile de Lumiere’s sire is the ZfdP, Oldenburg & SHB(GB) graded KWPN stallion Sambertino.  Sambertino has competed to Advanced dressage producing some of the most successful competing Dressage horses in the UK as well as Europe. He has also won Silver and Bronze medals at the World Paralympic Dressage Championships and evented to 1* with a junior rider. Samertino is a son of the renown coloured sire Samber who was the first coloured stallion to be approved by the KWPN.

Dam: His dam K.B. Etoile Filante was home produced by the home bred Stallion K.B. Arc-en–ciel. K.B. Etoile Filante was competed to Elementary Championship level before having her competition career cut short by fracturing a fetlock in the field. She was subsequently graded with the Sport Horse Breeding Society of GB.

Damsire: K.B. Arc-en-ciel competed to Prix St George having qualified at all levels from Novice to Advanced Championships. K.B. Arc-en-ceil was by the legendry Stallion Atlantus, one of the foundation stallions for the breeding of warmbloods in the UK. K.B. Arc-en-ciel was acknowledged as one of Atlantus most notable progeny and was also ranked 6th and 8th out of the top ten stallions in the country for competing Dressage sires foaled during or after 1989.

Presented for SPSS Grading at the age of 3, KB Etoile de Lumiere was awarded a two year licence.  KB Etoile de Lumiere is a young stallion bred by his current owner out of an SHB(GB) graded sports horse mare.  He is by the  Dutch coloured Warmblood sire Sambertino who competes at PSG level dressage and who now stands at stud in Germany.  KB Etoile de Lumiere (known as Henry) gained two first premium awards at the 2007 Futurity Championships - one in the dressage section, the other in the pony and small horse section.

In 2009, Henry started competing in Dressage, firstly unaffiliated where he gained 79% and 72% in two Prelim tests then followed by his first Affiliated Dressage competition where he gained 72.72% in the Open Prelim followed by winning the Open Novice Qualifier with 67.78%.

During the rest of the 2009 season, he qualified for the:

*  BD Summer 2009 Novice Open Regional Final Championships

*  BD Winter 2010 Novice Open Regional Final Championships

*  2010 Pet Plan Area Festival Finals at Hartpury

In March 2010, Henry did his first Elementary class, and won with the very impressive score of 73.45%. During the rest of the 2010 season, he continued to score over 70% at Elementary and qualified for the:

*  BD Summer 2010 Novice Open Regional Final Championships

*  BD Summer 2010 Open Elementary Regional Championships

*  BD Winter 2010 Open Elementary Regional Championships

In addition, Henry qualified and was placed at the Hickstead Masters Elementary Final 2010 at Hickstead International (pictured below right). He is now competing at Medium level. A true all rounder, he also jumps and has competed in Hunter Trials

A true all rounder, Henry is pictured left in the 2'9" class of a Hunter Trial. Both that and the picture of him above (halted at X) were taken in June 2009.

Offspring/Breeding Advice
2009 was K.B. Etoile de Lumiere’s first year at stud but he still attracted a good number of mares and his connections were delighted with the quality of his foals (one of which is pictured below). We now look forward to his second crop.  Henry is athletic and trainable with an amazing temperament and so is suitable for a range of mares.
