ELITE MARES

The SPSS accepts mares not exceeding 158cm (15.2hh) for grading into the Studbook.  Mares may grade into the Preliminary, Main or Head Studbooks according to their grading marks, competition and/or breeding record and completeness of pedigree. 

 

Elite status is awarded to any SPSS graded mare that has an international competition record under saddle at FEI level or is the dam of an FEI international competition pony/horse.
