Rughavens Jackpot is a chestnut leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion who has the lovely temperament for which this breed is renowned as well as amazing paces and trainability.  He was imported into the UK in Oct 2005 as a 3 year old and has been backed and brought on by Claire Knowles.  He already has an excellent competition record with scores of up to 73% in BD Novice tests, gaining 23 BD pts in just 6 outings in 2006, and is following in the footsteps of his successful sire and brother who are out winning at Medium and Elementary level.

Rughavens Jackpot had a very successful winter 2007/8 campaign qualifying for the BD Winter Regionals at Novice and Elementary music.  He attended the BD winter finals at Hartpury in 2008, contesting the Petplan Open Novice.  He qualified for the second round there and coped very well, considering this was the first major show that he had been to.  At home he is now working at advanced medium level, showing a real talent for the more collected work.

Rughavens Jackpot simply loves to work and is a pleasure to handle and train. He will happily work alongside other horses and is proving to be a fantastic ambassador for this rare breed. He has a very kind nature and is regularly handled by children.
