Rughavens Jackpot  (known as JJ) is a chestnut leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion who has the lovely temperament for which this breed is renowned as well as amazing paces and trainability. He simply loves to work and is a pleasure to handle and train. He will happily work alongside other horses and is proving to be a fantastic ambassador for this rare breed. He has a very kind nature and is regularly handled by children.

Sire: 

Stavsdals Jackpot is a Danish Knabstrupper stallion bred by Ellen Bendtsen and comes from a very successful competition line. He has competed successfully up to Advanced Medium dressage and qualified for regional and national championships. He competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships whilst on loan to the South African team. His progeny have been very successful in Denmark, Germany and UK.

Dam:

Soholmgaards Michaeline is a graded Knabstrupper broodmare and through her sire her bloodlines go back to the famous Danish warmblood stallion May Sherif.

Damsire: Thunder Boy is a Knabstrupper stallion who has a bronze award for his progeny.

This proven competition stallion has many successes in the dressage arena.  He was imported into the UK in Oct 2005 as a 3 year old and has been backed and brought on by Claire Knowles. 

JJ started competing in 2006 gaining 70%+ scores in first season. He has quickly moved up the levels, winning at Advanced Medium at 7yo and regularly earning 65%+ scores. He did BYRDS training in 2009 with a 12 year old and was selected as reserve for the regional team having made an impression with his fantastic attitude and ability.

In 2010, he started competing in Para dressage with a Grade IV rider, gaining the first half of their qualification for Para National Championship at their first competition. He has also been used as a schoolmaster by several novice riders giving them valuable competition success and experience.

Rughavens Jackpot has proven to be talented and trainable with a superb temperament and has outstanding ride-ability.

His first crop of foals in 2009 have inherited his paces and temperament. Their achievements include 1st Premiums at the Futurity evaluations and a Foal Premium at the Breed Show.
