Sunwillow Jubilee is a truly exceptional Welsh Mountain Pony. He combines breeding, movement, type, temperament and ability in one pint sized package.
Scoring 19/20 in his SPSS grading for temperament, Jubilee is level headed with a great trainability and willingness to please. He still has the "X factor" and character in abundance, all qualities he passes on to his progeny.
In 2010, he was the winner of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Michael Johnstone Tankard for Outstanding Pony Achievement, having competed in dressage, ridden showing, working hunter and in hand showing, qualifying for the Horse of the Year show and the Olympia international Horse Show.
He is truly bred in the purple. His breeding contains no less than 5 crosses of Coed Coch Siaradus “who must be one of the greatest mares ever of any section of the Welsh Stud book” – Dr Wynne Davies – The Welsh Pony, 2006 Three of these through her illustrious daughter Sunwillow Bernina.

Sire: Heniarth Quip is a Royal Welsh winning section A stallion, winner of the Best of Breed at the Olympia Supreme Ridden Mountain and Moorland final and prize winner in harness. He has a temperament second to none which he passes on to his progeny. He is the sire of numerous champion in hand ponies, and his ridden progeny are regular contenders at the Horse of the Year show. His progeny have been exported worldwide and can be found as far away as Australia.
Heniarth Quip is sired by Dukeshill Magnum who is a Cuddy Breeders Supreme finalist, Royal Welsh winner and a prize winner under saddle.
Heniarth Quip's dam was Sunwillow Quest, a legend of the Welsh Mountain pony breed, she held the record for the highest priced Welsh Mountain pony female sold at auction for over 10 years and is the dam of no less than 5 Horse of the Year show finalists.
One of Quests Royal Welsh winning daughters is Sunwillow Bellona, dam of Sunwillow Gundegai who is currently competing at Affiliated Elementary, he has been to the BD Regionals with 2 jockeys, collected prizes as the BD Home International Fledgling Novice Pony and BYRDS Inter-Regional Fledgling Champion, competed in the final of the AMTRUST Junior Riding Club Dressage at Windsor and has been a regular Champion at the annual UK U21s Dressage Championship Shows
Dam: Sunwillow Dido was successfully shown as a youngster and then became a very successful broodmare for the Sunwillow stud. She is Dam of the 2009 Cuddy Breeders Supreme finalist Sunwillow Kinglake, Champion mare Sunwillow Imogen and Sunwillow Odysseus a prize winner in the UK and Ireland.
Damsire: Randan Walter was a multi champion welsh mountain pony in his own right and an influential sire. As well as Dido, other progeny include Randan Tarrant, Supreme champion lead rein pony and Randan Absolutely Fabulous a multi supreme champion in the USA |

Affiliated Dressage is the latest string to Sunwillow Jubilee’s bow but already from very few outings and although only 117cm high, he competes against horses winning both points and rosettes at Novice Level. In 2009 and 2010, Sunwillow Jubilee won the Best of Breed title at the National Pony Society Supreme Dressage finals.
Jubilee also competes under saddle in Ridden Mountain and Moorland Classes, qualifying for the Horse of the Year show twice, the Olympia Supreme Mountain and Moorland Final and the Royal International Horse Show.
As a youngster, Jubilee was shown in hand, being champion at his very first show at 6 months old and rarely being beaten in his class throughout his youngstock career. This career culminating in being Supreme International Junior Champion in Belgium and Reserve Youngstock Champion at the Royal Welsh Show as a 3 year old. He has continued to have success in the few in hand outings he has had as an adult showing he has lost none of his sparkle or enthusiasm for showing off.
He has also qualified for all the major society championship shows in working hunter classes. |

Sunwillow Jubilee stamps all his stock with his exceptional movement and temperament. He is the ideal sire for the smaller sports pony from larger mares and as a pure bred sire for breeders wishing to breed ponies with the ability to perform without compromising on type or breeding.
To date his only offspring presented at the BEF Futurity, Amilas Cassiopeia gained a Higher First Premium scoring 9 for movement.
His pure bred offspring are consistent prize winners at county level; in 2011 alone 40% of his life time progeny were prize winners at County or Welsh breed shows.
When presented at the breed sales Jubilee’s progeny have been amongst the sale toppers with demand coming from people looking for future children’s mounts due to their growing reputation for their exceptional temperaments and from overseas buyers for his bloodlines and prepotency. His progeny have already travelled across Europe earning themselves stud book accolades such as Sunwillow Odessa, awarded “Diplomsto” – Diploma mare, only given the very best 3yo fillies in Sweden and now with semen in Australia we are looking forward to following his progeny ‘down under’.
When crossed with a non Welsh mare, his progeny have retained all the character and movement you’d expect from Jubilee progeny. |
